Frequently Asked Questions

My Paw Print Stamp

Your Paw Print Stamp comes with full instructions on how to use it. In summary: you align it with your paper, making sure the side with the ink is facing down (this avoids messy paws)! Press your pet's paw down and hold gently for a few seconds. Lift straight up to avoid smear. All done!

You can watch videos on our TikTok here for examples.

This depends on your dog. A single Paw Print Stamp has enough ink for at least 3 paw prints. However, some dogs get excited and swipe away all the ink on the first try! The majority of our customers are able to get 3-5 prints.

Our customers to date: Cats, Dogs, Guinea Pigs, Rabbits, Hamsters, Ponies, Lizards (Geckos), Pigs, Snakes, Birds, Rats.

The Paw Print Stamp works as an ink transfer, so the weight of the paw/foot causes a print. If you have a very small animal (small hamster or light reptile), they are unlikely to leave a print. Please do not attempt to use our kits with a light animal as you may harm them.

If you are working with a smaller animal, such as a hamster or gecko, place them onto the Paw Print Stamp and allow their bodyweight to leave a print. Then, gently pick them up. Do not push down on their paws as you may hurt them.

We strongly recommend you read our instructions carefully to get the most out of your products.

Some dogs will give their paw easily, whilst more excitable breeds will move around. In this case, they need picking up and the PawPrinter brought to their paws.

The best thing to do with cats is to lift them up and place them onto the PawPrinter, so they step onto it. If you press a cat's paw down when they are resting/sleeping, their paw may not be fully open and your print may not turn out the way you had hoped. Please review our 'How it Works' page.

Our Paw Print Stamp fits paws up to 9.5cmx6cm.

Our larger stamp, found in our XL kits and Christmas Card kit, fits bigger paws 12.5x8cm. This is ideal for giant breeds such as a Newfoundland, XL Bully, Sheepdog, Large Huskies or German Shepherds.

We have had an Alaskan Malamute and Siberian Husky use our Original Kit. However, if you do have a dog with larger paws we would recommend opting for the XL.

If you're unsure, we would recommend measuring your pet's paw before buying.
